Beyond aggregate insights, network managers often need to answer a concrete question: "Which providers in my network can serve this member?" Violet's Care Coordination search finds in-network providers by specialty, language, location, and verified community competence — in plain language or with precise filters.
Open the Care Coordination search
In the left-hand navigation, select Care Coordination.
Search in plain language
- Type what you're looking for the way you'd say it — for example: "Spanish-speaking psychiatrist in Denver who works with LGBTQ+ patients" — and click Ask.
- Violet interprets the request and applies the matching filters automatically. The inferred filters appear as removable pills above the results so you can verify and adjust them.
- Or start from a preset chip such as Rural primary care, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, or Veteran mental health.
Or filter by specific criteria
Click Filter by specific criteria and combine:
- Specialty, Language, County, and Zip code;
- Violet Benchmarks — verified competence for BIPOC, LGBQ, TGNC, Neurodivergent, Rural, or Veteran patients;
- Status — require Provider on Violet, Organization on Violet, or Violet Verified Organization to raise the bar on verification.
Then click Apply filters.
Interpret the results
The Recommended Providers table shows each provider's name, organization, specialty, whether they're On Violet, their languages, self-reported race & ethnicity, and the Communities for which they hold earned Violet Benchmarks. Providers not on Violet may still appear with data inferred from claims and public sources — the On Violet column tells you which is which.
Copy results for follow-up
- Select providers and click Copy selected, or click Copy all for the full list (up to 500 providers).
- Paste into an email, spreadsheet, or member-services workflow. Each provider copies as a clean text block with name, specialty, organization, languages, race & ethnicity, verified communities, and Violet status.

- Member escalations: find a culturally competent match for a specific member's needs, fast.
- Adequacy spot-checks: pair this search with your Service areas insights — when a county shows a competency gap, search it directly to see exactly which qualified providers exist there.
- Directory quality: verify which in-network providers hold earned Benchmarks versus inferred ones, and target Violet onboarding accordingly.
