Get set up: onboarding and education for care coordination teams
Activate your account, complete the quick profile, and build skills
Care coordinators, navigators, and other non-clinical team members get their own streamlined setup on Violet — a short profile, full access to the education library, and (for care coordination teams) the provider search tools. Here's how to get started.
Activate your account
- Look for your personalized invite email from Violet and click the activation link. (Can't find it? Check spam, or ask your organization admin to resend the invite.)
- Create your account and sign in at app.joinviolet.com.
Complete the quick onboarding
Non-clinical onboarding takes just a few minutes. Violet asks:
- What brings you to Violet — for example, exploring training courses, accessing care resources, or building skills to support specific populations.
- The basics — your name, and agreement to the privacy policy and terms.
- Optional identity questions — gender identity, sexual orientation, communities you identify with, languages you speak besides English, and race/ethnicity. You can select Skip for now at the identity step. Your responses are private to you and only ever shown to your organization in aggregate, never with your name.
Once you finish, you'll unlock full access to Violet's course library and resources.
Build skills with Violet education
Select Education in the left-hand navigation to explore:
- Collections — curated sets of courses on specific patient populations (BIPOC, LGBQ, TGNC, Neurodivergent, Rural, Veterans) and care disparities, in text, audio, and video formats.
- Pathways — structured tracks that build from foundational to advanced skills.
- All education — the full catalog, searchable by topic, goal, or population.
Education focused on cultural competence and community-specific care is directly applicable to care coordination — it sharpens the judgment you use when matching patients to providers. If your organization assigns you education, find it under the Assigned filter, and track everything under My education > In-progress and Completions & certificates.

Use the Care Coordination search
If your team uses Violet for referrals, you'll see Care Coordination in the left-hand navigation — a search tool for finding providers by specialty, language, location, and verified community competence, with one-click copying for your referral workflow. See Finding inclusive providers for referrals with Care Coordination search for the full walkthrough. If you don't see it and believe you should, contact your organization admin or support@joinviolet.com.
Keep your profile current
Go to Profile any time to update your Account information or Identity & languages. Keeping languages up to date matters — it helps your organization understand its capacity to serve patients in their preferred language.
